Studies

Business opportunity assessment studies take on many forms, on the front end of a project and more often after the project is up and operational. We provide tailored business studies to address your business needs. Workshop, observation and data collection driven, we scope and target your operational pain-points, capture observed data from several direct and indirect sources related to the business issues, and analyze and model strategies to adjust the outcome in a positive fashion. Simply stated - We will find and document the best solution for your problem.

Models

We use our “Model Shop” to craft a tangible solution that visualizes the operation of a new business function.  Models are abstractions and simplifications of real-life solutions. Our models include process flow diagrams, screen mockups and any visual aids necessary to get the point across including Video, Audio, Automation Animation etc. We use click thru navigation business scenarios to explain how we resolve the potential into a cohesive solution.  Our models are collaborative tools that capture and visualize your business problem and quickly prepare and demonstrate solution options.  The model informs business requirements for a technical solution and serves as contextual point of reference for testing and user acceptance.

Prototypes

We build and prototype tools and solution components to address specific business functions. New features, and capabilities, that are not currently available in your business operation can range from discrete service automation or feature integration, to custom developed sensors and controllers leveraging the internet of things, mobile or perhaps (if the business case dictate) Nano technologies.  We are up to the challenge to think outside the box to craft the best most appropriate solutions based on any available real technology.

Proof of Concept

Capturing the operational big picture and pulling together a realistic proof of concept helps tie the whole strategy together. A Proof of Concept is a useful tool to validate the operational changes prior to running live in a limited exposure pilot. Proof of Concept is where we shake out the bugs and run through several rounds of business scenarios to validate our expectation for how the solution will hold up under pressure. The POC ends in a User acceptance test  to ready the solution for a pilot.

Pilots

Pilots are a limited exposure production operation run. The pilot is a controlled experiment to test user acceptance and validate anticipated performance gains. Pilots are useful to collect feedback from the user community to identify any unforeseen setbacks, missed opportunity features or unintended consequences. Paying close attention to the user feedback in the Pilot informs the production rollout schedule.

Scaled Integration Rollout

Prod ion rollouts are never easy and take considerable coordination, communication and planning. Experience has taught us to capture and leverage our rollout coordination checklist, which we tailor to each environment and project.  Deployment and rollout organization lists and other tools aid in successful deployment strategies. We have found that communication and change management are the heaviest lifts for a solution rollout. Training both power and solution users on what to expect from the new business solution, and helping them answer the questions independently, greatly aids the integration rollout.
